On the Firm FTP Server, for several years now, the Edit File and the Settlement Price File for CME products have been available in central locations available to all firms. 

Some firms, however, are still receiving either or both of these files in their firm-specific Outgoing directory.  These firm-specific routings will be discontinued by no later than Friday April 29, 2005.  Files to be removed are:

• fnnn.cmedata.estl        (the "early" CME settlement price file)
• fnnn.cmedata.fstl         (the "final" CME settlement price file)
• fnnn.cmedata.edit        (the CME "edit file")

The CME Settlement Price Files are available to all firms in the pub/settle directory.  The file names are cme.settle.e.txt (for the "early" file) and cme.settle.s.txt (for the "final") file.  The files are also available in zipped form and with the business date in the filename.

The CME Edit File is available to all firms in the pub/edit directory.  The filename is cme.edit.txt.

Please note that the analogous files for CBOT products are only available in the shared locations, and that there will be no changes to the files in the shared locations – pub/settle and pub/edit – for either CME or CBOT.  Only the remaining firm-specific routings for the CME files will be removed.  We will be contacting firms who are still receiving any of these files in their firm-specific directories, to set a specific date for removal of this firm-specific routing.  For more information, please contact the CME Clearing House at 312-207-2525.
